ALEAP Topic Night on January 16th – downtown Albert Lea

Join ALEAP on Thursday, January 16th from 6 to 8 pm at the Albert Lea Economic Development Agency conference room (132 N Broadway, Albert Lea).

ALEAP meets monthly and offers aspiring entrepreneurs, business owners, and anyone passionate about business an opportunity to connect and learn with a supportive group of peers. ALEAP networking events are free, open to anyone, and no RSVP is required to attend.

This month we will be discussing our goals for the new year! Join us at the new downtown ALEDA/Chamber offices for food, drinks, and sharing about our hopes, dreams, and goals for 2020!

Do you set resolutions, intentions, goals, or a “theme”? As the first month of the year – and the first month of a new decade (Hello, 2020! What!?) you’ve no doubt been thinking about all the possibilities of a new year. Come share your ideas, hear from others, find an accountability buddy, and make it happen in 2020!

We welcome anyone interested in entrepreneurship, supporting local businesses, and growing their business to attend. Refreshments will be available.

The ALEAP program is an initiative to promote and assist Albert Lea and Freeborn County entrepreneurs through a multi-faceted approach. Features of the program are monthly networking gatherings on the third Thursday of the month, educational and training opportunities, available incubator and co-working space shared with other entrepreneurs, and micro lending/gap financing options. The program is housed under the Albert Lea Economic Development Agency (ALEDA) umbrella and is a partnership between ALEDA, Riverland Community College and the Riverland Foundation. Since the program started in June of 2015, ALEAP participants have started 9 new businesses and created 23 new jobs.

ALEDA is the local economic development organization made up of two separate entities – the Albert Lea Port Authority and Greater Jobs, Inc. If you are a new or expanding business looking for assistance, or are interested in more information about the ALEAP program, please contact ALEDA at 507-373-3930.
